Music Zone
This is where you we hope eventually to showcase the work of the budding musicians among our own members. We hope they will send us tracks from their work so we can give them free publicity, but sorry, no tracks which will cost us any royalty fees can be accepted!
Probably the best sound formats for you to send us would be .mp3 or .wma files as most computers have plug ins to play these already loaded, but other formats would be acceptable!
CYP Music Club
Our Music Club, which takes place every Monday evening between 6.45pm and 8.45pm (apart from school holidays and public holidays) would like to extend a welcome to anyone aged between 12 and 17 who has an interest in developing skills in drum kit, guitar, bass, singing and songwriting.
As well as these opportunities there is also the chance to access our professional standard recording studio (with the support of our recording engineer). You then have the option, if you want, to showcase your best tracks on this page and give your new musical career a boost!
The club costs 50p a week and is open to all 12 to 17 year olds living in our South Central Edinburgh catchment area. For further details contact Stevie Palmer (Project Worker) at CYP on: 556-9719

Alternatively, if you are able to install a programme on the PC you are using (i.e. you are not on a network) you can go to www.spotify.com and download their free player which is far superior and much more complete in its selection of music of all sorts.
You will also have to register your name with them!
